EarthBalance’s Ecosystem Restoration Scientists and Crews have been performing hands-on implementation of large-scale habitat creation and restoration projects for more than 30 years. Whether installing submerged aquatic vegetation in the Potomac River, planting dune plants to stabilize 24 miles of the Grand Strand in South Carolina, or planting over a million salt-tolerant grasses to provide habitat for the Endangered Lower Keys Marsh Rabbit at NAS Key West, we have the experienced Restoration Scientists, trained crews and specialized techniques and equipment to take on any size planting project. We supply most of the plants required from our own native nursery; because we own the nursery, we control the results, assuring you high quality plants and timely delivery.
We can also provide large-scale upland restoration projects by direct seeding. We collect native seeds using our Woodward Flail-Vac Seed Strippers and spread them over hundreds of acres with our Grasslander seeder. From initial site preparation through long-term maintenance, we provide turnkey restoration of all types of native habitats.
- Our project teams include degreed wetland scientists, biologists, and ecologists.
- Utilizing specialized techniques and equipment, our trained crews can plant thousands of plants per day to accomplish the largest restoration projects. Our knowledge of native habitats and experience assures success.
- We utilize our own full-time, experienced crews, which enables us to remain flexible and responsive to project needs and it further ensures consistent quality throughout each project phase.
- We grow most of the plants needed for a project at our own native nursery, which assures quality and timely delivery.
