EarthBalance was contracted by a private contractor for upland and wetland nuisance and exotic vegetation maintenance, vegetation monitoring, wetland restoration pine thinning, and upland and wetland planting within approximately 718 acres for the Turnbull Creek ROMA in St. Johns County, Florida.
Vegetation maintenance continues within the mitigation area through regular monitoring and ongoing herbicide application events to control nuisance and exotic vegetation. Pine thinning in the wetlands was also performed. A combination of hydrologic enhancements and manual pine thinning work will generate wetland mitigation credits for St. Johns County.
